Mr. T. Thomas - Chairman  
 

Mr. T.  Thomas started his career, in 1950, as an Industrial Engineer with the Indian subsidiary of Unilever (Hindustan Lever Limited – H.L.L.).  He became Chairman of the Company in 1973. 

Mr. Thomas joined the Board of Directors of Unilever Plc, London, in 1979. He was responsible for consolidating the Worldwide Specialty Chemicals Group and making it one of the major profitable and growing Product Groups in Unilever.

After his retirement from Unilever Plc, in 1989, Mr. Thomas took up the assignment of a Visiting Scholar at the Sloan School at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston, MA, for a year (1989-90) and taught a course in Global Strategy to MBA students.    

He was appointed to the International Advisory Board of Lafarge, the French Cement Company, from 1986 to 1992. 

On his return to India in 1990, Mr. Thomas set up the Indus Venture Capital Fund, modeled on Venture Funds in the USA. 

Mr. Thomas has majority ownership in three medium-sized companies’ viz. ITTI (an IT Company), Conzerv Systems (Energy Management Company), and, Global Pharmatech (a Pharmaceutical company), all based in Bangalore.

Mr. Thomas served as non-executive Chairman of Glaxo (India) from 1992-1998. 

He was non-executive Chairman of Lafarge (India) from 1999 to 2005. 

He is the Chairman of the “Business Standard”, a leading financial daily, in India, which is associated with the Financial Times of London.

He is the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Cathedral School, in Mumbai, India; and, of the Trust of St. Thomas (erstwhile Anglican) Cathedral, in Mumbai, India.  

Mr. Thomas has been closely associated with the Missionaries of Charity, since 1976.

Mr. Bipin R. Shah
  Mr. Bipin R. Shah started his career in 1956 when he joined Hindustan Lever Limited (HLL) as a Management Trainee. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants, in India.

After holding several commercial assignments in HLL between 1958 and 1978, Mr. B. R. Shah became a Director of HLL, in 1979. In 1981, in addition to his Directorship in HLL, he was assigned an additional responsibility of being Chairman of another Unilever subsidiary namely Lipton Industries Ltd. Mr. Shah retired from the Lever Group of Companies, in 1992.
Mr. Shah is actively involved with several leading Indian Corporates, like Marico Industries Ltd, CRISIL (which is a premier credit rating agency in India), Dolphin Offshore Enterprises Ltd, Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Company and Jyothy Laboratories Ltd among others.

Ms. Anita Chacko
 

Ms Anita Thomas Chacko is a graduate from Shriram College of Commerce (Delhi University) and completed her B.Com (Hons) in 1977.

Subsequently she completed her diploma in Management studies at Kingston Polytechnic, UK.

She worked for about one year in an advertising agency in SSCB Inc, New York. She also worked in Hindustan Lever Ltd, in the Export department, for about two years.

She is also on the Board of Global Pharmatech and Conzerv Systems.

Ms. Hema Hattangady
A management graduate from the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata, India, Hema possesses over 20 years of experience in marketing. In the ten years at the helm of Conzerv Systems (Formerly, Enercon Systems), she has transformed Conzerv from a less than US $ 1.0 Million turnover  company to a US $ 10.0 Million global player in Energy Management systems.
