Ms. Anna Thomas Chacko

Chairperson

Ms Anna Thomas Chacko is a graduate from Shriram College of Commerce, Delhi University.

She worked for about one year in an advertising agency in SSCB Inc, New York. She also worked in the Export department at Hindustan Unilever Ltd., for about two years.

Ms Anna Chacko manages ITTI’s Middle East operations.

Mr. Mukunthan CVS

Managing Director

Mukunthan graduated in Science, and then moved into finance domain. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and also a Certified professional, in IFRS, from ACCA, UK.

Mukunthan has around three decades of industry experience. He held various positions with India’s leading companies, in Paint and Cement Manufacturing, and with one of the leading Textile companies from the South. After joining ITTI, in year 2001, he held various positions like CFO & Company Secretary, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and CEO, before appointed as Managing Director. He is well versed in entire gamut of Finance, Costing taxation, Secretarial matters, Compliance, Human Resource Management, Manufacturing processes, Strategy, Customer relations etc.

Mukunthan is responsible for expanding the Company’s profile in skills, people and customers. He is also responsible for the smooth integration of newly acquired businesses with the existing operations of the Company.

He is well versed in understanding the business processes, in line with IT needs, and is responsible for all key strategic decisions for the Company’s growth.

Mr. Lalit Sawhney

Director

Lalit is an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and B. Sc. Engg, University of Delhi. He has almost four decades of experience in leading organisations in the IT and Technology sectors; he is one of the most well-regarded IT professionals in India

He was the long-term IT Head and CIO at Hindustan Lever; (1983 – 2000), where he integrated the IT operations of all the Unilever companies in India, and defined and implemented the IT strategy for the group, including Applications and Infrastructure. This included the first national implementation of an ERP package across the length and breadth of the sprawling supply chain, and the first national V-SAT network coving all the offices, manufacturing locations and distribution operations of the company. Computerworld, US recognised Hindustan Lever as one of the 100 Outstanding IT Users in the World.

He moved to Reliance Communications as Sr. Vice President in 2001, where he initially focused on organising Strategy and Management consulting assignments with McKinseys and CGEY. Here he set up Shared Services for Commercial, Logistics, Human Resources and Finance. He later became CIO and then took up the business responsibility of the Enterprise Wireless Business

He has also been an entrepreneur, setting up an E-Commerce and an IT Services business in Retail and Distribution. He now consults in Information Technology

Lalit has held several leading elected positions like President, Computer Society of India, and Vice President, International Federation for Information Processing.

He also led the National Y2K effort in Government and Industry on behalf of CII and Govt. of India

Mr. Joseph Pookkatt

Director

Joseph Pookkatt is a lawyer practicing in India with over three decades of legal, strategic, commercial and management experience.

Joseph graduated from the National Law School of India University (Bangalore) and the College of Law, York, UK. He is a recipient of several scholarships and prestigious global fellowships including the Chevening Scholarship in Corporate Law (UK-1996); the European Series (EU -1997) and the Rheinhard Mohn Fellowship (Germany -2004). In the year 2005, he was selected by the US Department of State as India’s representative for the International Visitor Leadership Program 2005 for studies on the US Legal System. Joseph has also completed several executive education programs in prestigious institutions like IIM, Ahmedabad.

Joseph has handled several high profile matters before the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court and various other courts and arbitral tribunals. He has handled over 50 capital market transactions in his capacity as counsel for Issuers/ Lead managers helping clients raise over a billion USD. Joseph has been an empanelled consultant of the Asian Development Bank and the Ministry of Finance, in Public Private Partnerships (PPP) and infrastructure projects from 2011.

From 2003 to 2013, Joseph also served as the Managing Trustee of Consumer Online Foundation, which is one of India’s most active consumer rights and advocacy organization. In 2007, he helped establish the Consumer Online Research and Empowerment Centre (www.core.nic.in) for the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India.

Joseph has authored three books and several articles. He is the author for the section on “Air Law” for the prestigious Halsbury’s Laws published by Reed Elsievier Plc. He has for several years, taught the subject “Corporate Governance and CSR” at the Symbiosis School of Business Management and “Media Law” both at the Pioneer Media School, New Delhi and ISOMES, Noida.

Joseph has an avid interest in travel, ‘big-data’ and AI based projects in the health and regulatory domains. To keep alive his interests in the said areas, he has founded and incubated several companies. Joseph is also a founder-investor in a Texas, US based start-up providing data analytics and patient matching tools and a drone manufacturer.

Mr. T. Thomas

Ex-Chairman

Mr. T. Thomas started his career, in 1950, as an Industrial Engineer with the Indian subsidiary of Unilever (Hindustan Lever Limited – HLL). He became Chairman of the Company in 1973.

Mr. Thomas joined the Board of Directors of Unilever Plc, London, in 1979. He was responsible for consolidating the Worldwide Specialty Chemicals Group and making it one of the major profitable and growing Product Groups in Unilever.

After his retirement from Unilever Plc, in 1989, Mr. Thomas took up the assignment of a Visiting Scholar at the Sloan School at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston, MA, for a year (1989-90) and taught a course in Global Strategy to MBA students.

On his return to India in 1990, Mr. Thomas set up the Indus Venture Capital Fund, modeled on Venture Funds in the USA.

He was appointed to the International Advisory Board of Lafarge, the French Cement Company, from 1986 to 1992. Mr. Thomas served as non-executive Chairman of Glaxo (India) from 1992-1998. He was non-executive Chairman of Lafarge (India) from 1999 to 2005.

Mr. Thomas has majority ownership in ITTI (a Software services Company, headquartered in Bangalore, India) and Global Pharmatech (a Pharmaceutical company, located in Hosur, near Bangalore).

He is the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Cathedral School, in Mumbai, India; and, of the Trust of St. Thomas (erstwhile Anglican) Cathedral, in Mumbai, India.

Mr. Thomas has been closely associated with the Missionaries of Charity, since 1976.
